中美工业制成品产业内贸易的实证研究——基于行业特征的视角

摘要

二战后，国际贸易形式发生了巨大的变化，产业内贸易正逐步取代产业间贸

易成为全球贸易最主要的形式。近年来，产业内贸易成为国际贸易领域研究的一

个热点。美国是中国的第二大贸易国，中国是美国第一大进口来源国，而中美两

国间主要是以工业制成品为主，因此研究中美两国间工业制成品产业内贸易具有

十分重要的意义。特别是在美国金融危机以后，两国间的贸易摩擦加剧，通过研

究中美工业制成品产业内贸易的水平及其类型，能够了解我国进出口贸易所存在

的问题，从而达到改善我国外贸进出口结构，提高我国在国际分工中地位的目的。

本文首先回顾了相关学者对产业内贸易的研究现状，在继承前人研究成果的

基础上，对中美工业制成品产业内贸易水平进行了测度，并对中美产业内贸易的

类型进行分析，然后又对其影响因素进行了探讨并提出了相关政策建议。

考虑到中美工业制成品贸易的主要问题是贸易不平衡，而相对于 GL 指数，

Aquino 指数能够较好地解决这一问题，笔者利用 Aquino 指数对中美工业制成品

产业内贸易水平进行了测度。得到了以下结论：中美工业制成品产业内贸易指数

较小，这说明这些行业是以产业间的形式存在。不过，以产业内贸易形式存在的

行业的产业内贸易水平在不断提升，这说明了这些行业的产品竞争力在不断提

高，但是其提高的速度较慢，这可能与国内的产业结构层次较低有关。

接着利用 AE 指数法对中美工业制成品的产业内贸易类型进行分析，通过分

析得出，中美工业制成品产业内贸易类型以低质量的垂直型产业内贸易为主。这

与我国当前的贸易现状是一致的：出口的产品质量较差、价格较低、利润低下；

加工贸易层次较低，基本上是简单的组装，处于价值链的低端，产品附加值较低。

接下来是中美工业制成品的产业内贸易影响因素的实证分析。笔者参照马剑

飞（2002）的研究成果，对 2001-2008 年18 个工业制成品行业的产业内贸易的

影响因素进行实证分析，得出了以下结论：资本强度和规模经济会促进中美工业

制成品产业内贸易的发展，这说明资本强度和规模经济的能够很好地解释产业内

贸易的发生，资本强度和规模经济的提高能够促进中美两国间的工业制成品产业

内贸易水平的提高。其中规模经济的影响程度较低，这可能与我国工业制造业的

整体规模经济水平不高有关。而外商直接投资和市场结构不能解释中美工业制成

品产业内贸易的发生。外国直接投资（FDI）对产业内贸易的影响取决于投资的

动机和类型，之所以外商直接投资对中美工业制成品产业内贸易的影响不是很明

确可能与美国对中国的外商直接投资的动机不是很明确有关。市场结构对中美产

业内贸易的影响很小，这说明中美工业制成品行业的竞争程度的高低与中美工业

制成品产业内贸易的发展之间没有必然的联系。

文章的结尾分析中美工业制成品产业内贸易存在的问题以及阐述了发展产

业内贸易的必要性，并提出了一些政策建议：提高规模经济水平；提高资本强度；

合理利用外资；实施差异化生产。

ABSTRACT

After World War II, international trade form has been experiencing tremendous

changes, intra-industry trade is gradually replacing the inter-industry trade as a major

form of global trade. In recent years, trade has been becoming a hot research field.

The United States is China's second largest trading country, while, China is the largest

importer of U.S. Trade between China and the USA are mainly based industrial

products, thus, the study of China-US intra-industry in manufactured goods is very

important. Especially in the U.S. financial crisis, trade friction between the two

countries increased sharply. By studying the level and types of intra-industry between

the two countries, we can understand the status of China in the bilateral trade and the

import and export problems. Then we can improve China's foreign trade structure and

enhance our position in the international division of labor.

This paper first reviews the relevant academic research on intra-industry trade

research status. In inheritance of the previous outstanding achievements, I measured

the level of intra-industry in manufactured goods of the two countries and analyzed

the type of this trade ,then discussed the influencing factors and proposed some

policy recommendations.

Taking account of the main problem of trade imbalance, relative to the GL index,

Aquino index can solve this problem bitterly, I used the Aquino index to measure the

level of intra-industry in manufacturied goods between U.S. and China and obtained

the following conclusions: the level of Aquino indices are small, indicating that these

industries are taking place in the form of inter-industry. However, the level is rising

constantly, showing that the competitiveness of products in these sectors has been

improving, but the speed is slow, which can be related to the lower level of domestic

industrial structure.

Then, using AE index to analyze the types of the intra-industry in manufactured

goods of U.S. and China, I obtained that the intra-industry trade between these two

countries are based in low-quality vertical intra-industry trade. This is consistant to

China's current trade situation: poor quality export products, lower prices, lower

profits; a lower level of processing trade which is basically a simple assembly, the

lower end of the value chain, the lower value-added products.

Next is the empirical Analysis of the factors of intra-industry trade. The author

used 18 manufacturied sectors between 2001-2008 to empirically analyzed the

influencing factors and got the following conclusion: capital intensity and economies
