ABSTRACT
With the development of medical engineering technology and people's living
standards, anesthesia machine is increasingly used in clinical application. To meet the
growing demand, the anesthesia machine is supposed to have more functions. The
anesthesia machine should not only provide high precision anesthesia medication and
oxygen facilities, but also can provide monitoring function. So the anesthesia
workstation is exactly in line with modern surgical’s requirements, it can provide
anesthesia information management and physiological parameter monitoring functions.
At present, the research on anesthesia workstation is merely in China. Therefore, this
project designed a set of ECG, blood pressure, anesthesia monitoring system used in
anesthesia workstation.
The research is based on the traditional anesthesia machine, and designed a
anesthesia workstation. The main workstation is based on embedded microprocessor,
and integrated with ECG and blood pressure monitoring module. Depending on the
advantage of embedded system, the research includes the type selection of embedded
microprocessor, hardware circuit and software platform design. The article includes the
following:
(1) Summarized the anesthesia workstation research situation, introduction to ECG
and blood pressure and physiological parameters and analysis the design objective of
the anesthesia workstation.
(2) The anesthesia workstation hardware design was analyzed, and specific
description of each monitoring module and data protocol.
(3) Detailed description of the embedded development environment, including the
selection of Linux system, Linux system configuration and the install of necessary
development tools, Qt/embedded development environment to build.
(4) Details introduction of transmission system software design. Including the serial
communication from monitoring module to embedded microprocessor, blood pressure
and ECG data extraction, processing and display, alarm system implementation,
construction of network transmission HL7 message and ECG rendering.
After experimental verification, the system is stable, safe and the measurement is
reliable. It’s clear-friendly interface and easy learning control panel. These all give the
doctors great convenience.
