摘 要
被誉为世界三大“无烟产业”之一的会展产业作为新兴服务业,是二十一世
纪的朝阳产业,有着巨大的发展潜力。会展产业以其高效率、高增长的特点成为
城市经济发展的“助推器”和反映国民经济状况的“晴雨表”,并因其较高的区域
社会经济效益而备受国内外关注。与此同时,随着我国加入 WTO 过渡期结束和
CEPA 的全面实施,上海将加快融入全球经济一体化的步伐,从而进一步推动上海
会展产业的发展。然而与世界会展强国和名城相比,上海会展产业的发展还存在
着诸多不足,加强对会展产业深入的理论研究,引导上海会展产业健康良性地发
展,是上海会展产业的迫切需要。
会展业的产业特性决定了上海会展产业从一开始发展就面临着国际化的竞
争,上海会展产业要想在激烈国际市场竞争中立足并取胜,就必须具备强大的产
业竞争力。本文从经济学角度阐述了会展产业的基本内涵、经济特性,分析了会
展产业对经济贸易的重要影响,并介绍了世界会展名城和上海会展产业的发展现
状。同时运用迈克尔·波特教授的国家钻石体系理论系统地分析了上海会展产业的
竞争力状况,并研究了会展产业集群对会展产业竞争力的影响,着重探讨了会展
产业集群,结合上海的现实情况做了实证分析,在此基础上,最后对如何提高上
海会展产业竞争力作了探讨和研究,从政府职能、发展规划、集群规模、企业
团、硬件设施、人力资源、会展支持体系七个方面提出了相应的发展对策。
本文的贡献在于尝试性地从产业竞争力和产业聚集的角度来研究上海会展产
业的发展。国内对会展产业的理论研究是20 世纪 90 年代后,随着中国对外经
济、文化交流的迅速发展,国内会展活动变得日益频繁的情况下相应活跃起来的,
但多集中于实践总结、发展现状和对策分析、中外会展业发展比较分析等,在现
有论文资料中,较少有人对会展业进行产业竞争力和产业聚集的研究。本文从波
特的钻石模型六要素方面分析了上海会展业的国际竞争力,并研究了上海会展产
业集群的情况,通过实证分析总结了会展产业在这些区县成功发展的区位经济
件,具有一定的理论价值和现实意义。
本文共分三大部分:第一部分包括第 1、第 2和第 3章,是本文的导入
部分,阐述了本文的研究背景和意义、相关概念、上海会展业现状以及与国外
展名城的比较;第二部分包括4章和5章,是本文的重点部分,从产业竞争
力和产业集群方面研究了上海会展产业;第三部分包括第 6章,在前面研究的基
础上,对如何提高上海会展产业竞争力,促使上海会展业成功发展作了探讨。

ABSTRACT
MICEEMeeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition and Event; “MICEE” for
shortindustry, which is called one of the three main smokeless industries in the world,
is a sunrise industry in the twenty-first century with huge development potential.
MICEE industry becomes “boost motor” of urban economy development and
“barometer” reflecting national economic situation with its characteristics of high
efficiency and high growth, and is paid close attention to both at home and abroad
because of its high social economic benefits. Meanwhile, following the end of transition
period of China’s accession to the WTO and the full operation of CEPA, Shanghai will
further accelerate its melting into integration of world economic step, which will further
contribute to the progress of Shanghai’s MICEE industry. But compared with the world
powers of MICEE industry and the famous MICEE industrial cities, Shanghai’s MICEE
industry exists a great deal of insufficient. Strengthening the deep theoretical research to
the MICEE industry and leading the MICEE industry of Shanghai to develop healthily
and benignly is the urgent need of the MICEE industry of Shanghai.
The characteristics of the MICEE industry have determined Shanghai’s MICEE
industry to face the internationalized competition as soon as beginning to develop. If
Shanghai’s MICEE industry wants to have a foothold and win in the rounds of the keen
competition, it must possess the strong industry competitiveness. This paper has
explained the basic intension and economic characteristics of the MICEE industry in
terms of economics, has analyzed the important influence on economic trade of the
MICEE industry, including the multiplier effect and economic connected effect of the
MICEE economy, and has introduced the current development situations of the MICEE
industry of the famous cities and the world powers. This paper has analyzed industry's
competitiveness state of Shanghai’s MICEE industry systematically by using Professor
Michael Potter’s national diamond system theory, and has studied impact of industry
cluster on industry's competitiveness of MICEE industry on this basis. Then probed into
the industry cluster of the MICEE industry emphatically, has done real example analysis
combining the reality of Shanghai. Finally the paper probes into and studies how to
improve industry's competitiveness of the MICEE industry of Shanghai, and puts for
ward the corresponding development counter measure from administration function,
development program, cluster scale, enterprise group, hardware facility human
resourcesMICEE industry support system.
Innovation of this paper lies in trying to study the development to city's MICEE
industry from angle of industry cluster and industry's competitiveness. The theoretical
research on the MICEE industry of our country begins at the 1990s with the rapid
development of China's foreign economic and cultural exchanges, and becomes active
correspondingly under the situation of the domestic convention and exhibition activity
getting frequent day by day, but concentrates more on practice summarizing, the current
situation of the development and countermeasure analyzing, the comparative analysis of
Shanghai and foreign MICEE industry's development etc. Someone freshly carries on
the research of industry's cluster and industry's competitiveness to the MICEE industry.
This paper studies industry cluster situation of the MICEE industry, and summarizes
position economic terms of the MICEE industry developing successfully in these area
through real example analysis, has analyzed the industry competitiveness of the MICEE
industry of Shanghai from six key elements of Potter's diamond model, and has certain
theory value and realistic meaning.
This paper is divided into three major parts altogether: The first part including
chapter1, chapter2 and chapter 3 is the insertion of this paper, and it explains the
research background and meaning, the domestic and international research current
situation, relational concept and and the development summaries of MICEE industry of
Shanghai and international cities; The second part including chapter 4 and chapter 5 is
the key part of this paper, and it studies the MICEE industry of Shanghai from
industry's competitiveness and industry cluster; The third part including chapter 6, and it
probes into how to improve MICEE industry's competitiveness of Shanghai and impel
Shanghai’s MICEE industry to develop successfully on the basis of studying above.
