ABSTRACT
In 21 century, people enjoy the convenience from new science and technology, also
suffer the hurt from illegal copying. Piracy is growing rapidly,who brings baneful
influence to the traditional publishing industry. Copyright protection work needs to keep
pace with the times. Digital watermarking is a kind of important means to protect the
copyright information. Halftone image watermarking is an important research direction
of digital watermarking. Due to its efficient, convenient and economy, digital
watermarking has got great attention from experts and scholars, also obtained great
development. Research and development on halftone image was limited because of non
white or black. But the halftone image exists widely in industry of printing and
publishing, who suffer piracy seriously. It is urgent to find a robust watermarking for the
copyright protection of halftone image. This paper focuses on the robust watermarking
for halftone images.
This paper states views from theory and application, theoretically analysis
the halftone algorithm and watermarking system. To realize embedding and extraction
of holographic watermark in the area of feature and points characteristics, studying
characteristics of the halftone image, gray image as the carrier, using the frequency
domain algorithm and singular value decomposition, combined with the characteristics
of human visual system. Ensure the invisibility of the watermark and the watermark
capacity, robustness. The main study contents are as follows:
1. Three kinds of halftone algorithm were studied: pattern dithering, error
diffusion, point diffusion. Analysis theory and experiment, found that dot diffusion
algorithm got the best results. So halftone algorithm in this paper is diffusion algorithm.
In addition, this paper also introduces basic theory of digital watermarking, and the
halftone image watermarking system must meet these requirements.
2. Principle of optical holographic watermark is analysised. Peep one spot and
know everything. This paper adopts the double random phase encryption Holographic
Watermarking algorithm. Security of the algorithm is increased by two random
template p and b. And then verify the superiority of the dot diffusion algorithm
compared with the error diffusion and the actual printing for the holographic
watermark extraction.
3. Halftone watermarking involves the print-scan process, who will seriously
attack image’s quality, especially bring geometric distortion, increases the difficulty for
watermark’s extraction. This paper uses the connection method to correct distortion.
Firstly, preprocess the image by HE, Canny and Randon. And then use the connection
method to correct distortion. Experiments show that, the geometric distortion correction
algorithm in this paper is more suitable than Photoshop for scanning picture.
4. The K-means clustering algorithm together with human visual system, combined
with DWT and SVD, enhance the abilityto anti shear and rotation. embed double
random phase encryption holographic watermark. Experiments show that, to a certain
extent, this algorithm can satisfy the need of resisting rotation attack and cutting attacks.
It is suitable for copyright protection.
