ABSTRACT
The automobile instrument is the most intuitive access to vehicle information,
convenient and secure platform, is essential to safe driving device. Most of the
traditional automotive instrument display using a pointer type, less the amount of
information displayed, can not meet the needs of the modern car information display. At
present, with low energy consumption and zero discharge of pure electric vehicle has
been paid more and more attention, pure electric automobile instrument will be the
development trend of automobile instrument. The reversing assist system as a part of
the automobile instrument, plays a very important role in real life, many people due to
improper or even reversing damage to the vehicle will cause casualties. So join
reversing auxiliary functions in automotive instrument interface will solve problems
reversing help drivers easily reverse.
This paper design a reversing assist system for electric vehicle digital instrument,
The hardware select a Fujitsu for automobile digital dashboard LSI chip MB86R01, the
advantage of a single-chip which built ARM926EJ-S processor, graphics display
controller GDC and other peripheral equipment, has greatly improved in the aspect of
system function, stability and accuracy. By extending Flash, DRAM, video decoder
chip can easily achieve a variety of text, dynamic textures, vector, fixed images and
video display. The display system includes two interfaces, one is electric car dashboard
interface, interface display information including vehicle speed, rotational speed,
battery, battery temperature, total mileage display, single mileage display, voltage and
current display, gear display, turn lights display, door status, seat belt warning, ABS
warning, battery failure warning, high beam display, fog lights display, parking display.
Another for reversing aid interface, the interface displays information including real-
time video image and reversing guides. Introducing reversing assist algorithm,
combining the rear vehicle video images and the reverse auxiliary line displayed on the
screen. In addition system adopts CAN bus communication receives all messages from
the ECU, makes the car instrument with anti-interference, data stability, simple
structure and other advantages.
The innovation of this paper include:
(1) To adapt to the development requirements of pure electric vehicles, design of
digital instrument display and reversing assist system in one of the electric car digital
instrument display system, through the CAN bus, can display the corresponding
content according to the content of the message transformation.
(2) The reversing assist algorithm is introduced into the system, the vehicle model
under the absolute coordinates, and calculate the kinematics equation, trajectory is
deduced equation can predict the vehicles reversing path, can be a reverse of the core
operation of the reversing assist system.
(3) Provides a correct solution of video image deformation. GDC based video
texture mapping function, the deformation of the video image is captured by a camera
as a texture image, the model is transformed by texture mapping, finally the processed
image will be attached to the video, achieve the function of the corrected image.
