ABSTRACT
Corporate social responsibility, a concept originated from the western developed
countries, is widely recognized by the international community gradually. Along with
the deepening of the globalization process. China is closely linked with the global trade.
On May 21, 2010, according to the law and ‘the Basic Standards for Enterprise Internal
Control’, the finance department promulgated the enterprise internal control
application guidelines 4, social responsibility, in order to promote enterprise to fulfill
their social responsibilities, and to enforce the coordinated development of the
enterprise and society. Shouldering corporate social responsibility and raising
awareness of corporate social responsibility have become a requirement of times China
and Chinese enterprises must face.
As the continuous development of stockholders theory, thinking from the aspect
of shareholders, building the evaluating index system for corporate social
responsibility has become the mainstream view in the theoretical circle. Among the
theories Sonnenfeld's external stockholders evaluation mode and. Clarkson's RDAP
mode have been borrowed and developed by many scholars from home and aboard and
international organizations.SA8000,ISO26000 and other international standards also
exert influence in the world gradually. But, all these international standards are based
on the western financial and cultural foundations, one-sided full acceptance of these
evaluation standards will not be conductive to China's economic development and
growth of Chinese enterprises. In today's international backgrounds, building a
corporate responsibility index system localized with Chinese characteristics is
imperative. The corporate social responsibility evaluation system China will formulate
must base on the foundations of absorbing international experiences and take a
reference of China's actual conditions. It should be a set of standard which will be
conductive to connect to world and will benefit the development of Chinese
enterprises.
This paper put forward a set of corporate social responsibility evaluation system
with Chinese characteristics based on the previous helpful results according to
