ABSTRACT
In recent years, Implantable medical device industry has got a rapid
development. Because of the global GDP and per capita income growth rate is higher
than the world average, therefore, the growth rate of the production and marketing of
implantable medical devices is the fastest in the world. The rapid development of the
industry gave birth to a lot of new problems, including the field of medical devices
relevant laws and regulations, the system is not perfect; poor quality of the implantable
medical device regulatory blind spot, mixed with circulation, not only corruption
,increase the economic burden of patients more seriously endanger the patient's life
safety. These problems intensified in recent years, has become more prominent social
issues, we must solve them as soon as possible.
Company A is a leading implantable medical device developer, manufacturer and
marketer, annually invested heavily in independent research and development of
various types of vascular, orthopedic diseases and disorders, minimally invasive
products. Because of the industry does not regulate irregular products openly in the
market, and the cost is far lower than the products of Company A, therefore Company
A suffered huge losses. The main problems of the industry and company A with
downstream supply chain partners to jointly explore fundamental countermeasures to
resolve this issue, combined with the strategic planning of information theory,
namely the establishment of the implantable medical device information tracing
system.
The article reviews the course of development of the implantable medical device
industry, and industry external environment (PEST) analysis and five forces model
analysis shows that the bottleneck is the conclusion of the information traceability
system further healthy development of industry. The article analyzes the development
status and problems of the company A critical success factors (CSF ) analysis,
obtained company A must establish a traceability system in implantable medical devices
conclusion, the research findings also show that the system, supply chain parties with
real-time monitoring and full traceability is the key to success. The article based on the
current state of the industry, the implantable medical device information tracking
system environment, size, data, security, real-time monitoring, full traceability
and demand, and in accordance with the requirements for the solution. Further after
the implementation of the system, each link in the supply chain, such as:
manufacturers, enterprises, medical institutions, government regulators, patients
and other effects analysis.
Finally, the article also discusses the implantable medical device information
traceability system safeguards, including the internal organization of Company A, the
system of protection; product identification and authentication security; safety and
hierarchical management support; gather information in a timely manner and quickly
reported adverse events protection; personnel training and technical support.
