ABSTRACT
With the spreading of the debt crisis in EURO, there is a phenomenon about
inventory accumulated seriously in the global aluminum industry. In order to maintain
the market price, the major aluminum products manufactures in the world have reduced
quantity of production. As the competition is rapidly increasing and in order to reduce
cost, many companies have started to innovate their management system with propose
of cutting the operational cost to maintain their competitiveness under the premise of
production innovation. Procurement play an important role in production processes and
the procurement management is an important aspect in the management system
accordingly. Moreover the timely procurement has an important significance for the
improvement of efficiency. But under the traditional procurement model, due to the
problem of information asymmetry and long procurement cycle, which increase the
operation cost and affect the production efficiency. An innovative model of procurement
is required urgently.
Under the background above and the importance of procurement management in
today's business management activities, this article studies on the procurement
management of the Aluminum Corporation in China, and based on the theory of
procurement management, systematically explain the conception, type, and review the
research status of the domestic and international’s procurement management and the
procurement management of the Aluminum Corporation of China, which is the basis of
this article. Based on the problem existed in the development process of procurement
management of the Aluminum Corporation of China, this article is combined with the
forefront theory of current procurement management to optimize the management of
procurement’s forecast, supply, inventory, contract and relevant information system in
the procurement management respectively as well as to design relevant procurement
management information system with the purpose of improving the procurement
management level of the company.
This article takes the optimizing the procurement management system of listed
large state-owned mining company for example, and improves the procurement
management information system from the point of view of the theory and practice,
which are innovation of research content; In the research method, an improved linear
model is used to forecast the procurement systematically, the ABC classification and
Karaj matrix are used to optimize the inventory management, and hierarchy process is
used to manage the supplier to improve the procurement management of the Aluminum
Corporation in China, furthermore, systematically plan and design the company’s
procurement information management system based on the improved theory or action,
which are innovation of research method.
By sorting out theory of procurement management information as well as
analyzing the status quo of electronic procurement management of the Aluminum
Corporation in China, this article wants to be able to improve the procurement
management level of that company, furthermore, can be an useful reference for other
