ABSTRACT
Many of our old wastewater treatment plant face with upgrading , cause it can not
meet the requirements of nitrogen and phosphorus removal .only add suspended dosing
filler and do not change the volume of the aeration tank , transform it into the activated
sludge - biofilm hybrid system , is widely used at the old sewage plant’s upgrade , but
Annual outbreak of Aeolosoma hemprichi breeding in activated sludge-biofilm hybrid
system usually occurs at the end of spring and the beginning of summer, which
significantly deteriorates system performance. Therefore it is particularly important to
identify Aeolosoma hemprichi outbreak sexual reproduction and control measure .
In this article, we use the orthogonal test to study Aeolosoma hemprichi growth
under different chlorophyll a concentration , temperatures , light intensities and pH
,the environmental factors conditions, and obtain the primary and secondary order of
four factors on Aeolosoma hemprichi , as well as the best breeding conditions of
Aeolosoma hemprichi according to the orthogonal table, the results show that the
Primary and secondary order were temperature> chlorophyll a > pH >light intensity ,
the optimal growth conditions of Aeolosoma hemprichi is in the chlorophyll a
concentration 38.7 mg/m³ , temperature 25 ° C and pH 7, light intensity 4000Lx .
reproduction speed of Aeolosoma hemprichi cultured with spirulina or/and activated
sludge were investigated in a light incubator. Reproduction speed and doubling time of
Aeolosoma hemprichi was obtained by exponential fitting. The results showed that, the
minimum doubling time of Aeolosoma hemprichi cultured by spirulina or activated
sludge exclusively was 1.44 d and 2.04 d, respectively. When co-cultured with spirulina
and activated sludge, the minimum doubling time was 1.14d with activated sludge 132
mg/l and chlorophyll a 85.9 mg/m3. It indicated that chlorophyll a, activated sludge, and
their synergy all promoted Aeolosoma hemprichi growth.
The beker experiment is simulated the activated sludge-biofilm hybrid system, The
results show that, Aeolosoma hemprichi occurred explosive breeding to varying degrees
at 25 and 30 degrees Celsius,and the maximum population density of Aeolosoma
hemprichi reached 383ind./mL and 200ind./mL , respectively. Meanwhile, the explosive
breeding of Aeolosoma hemprichi has no influence on the removal of COD and NH4-
N,but it lead to the release of TN. When the population density of Aeolosoma hemprichi
reached 66ind./mL and 50ind./mL respectively at 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, Aeolosoma
hemprichi can be considered to occur the explosive breeding. The experiments also
prove that the outbreak of Aeolosoma hemprichi could not produce the phenomenon of
grazing on biofilm. Finally , use SPSS to make the multivariate linear regression
analysis, and it show that the maximum population density of Aeolosoma hemprichi
correlated significantly with the TN release. The effect of algae concentration and COD
load to the outbreak sexual reproduction of Aeolosoma hemprichi was studied as well as
reasonable control measures was choosed in pilot test, the results indicate that the algae
concentration of 80mg/m³ can promote the growth of Aeolosoma hemprichi.The
population density of Aeolosoma hemprichi is correlated significantly with COD
load.At the same time, the outbreak of Aeolosoma hemprichi can also produce the
