ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT
The fast development of information technologies has accelerated the information
-i z a t i o n o f e n t e r p r i s e . A s t h e w i d e u s a g e o f i n f o r m a t i o n s y s t e m i n e n t e r p r i s e , i t h a s
already made the informationization a worldwide tendency. At the same time, IT also
c h a n g e s t h e w a y o f i n f o r m a t i o n s y s t e m d e v e l o p m e n t . T h e a r c h i t e c t u r e o f c l i e n t
application program in IS has changed from C/S to B/S. However, B/S architecture can
not support all the client application problems. In addition, the design of database has
greatly changed. Most IS were based on Centralized Database System in the past. With
the h i g h spe e d dev e l o p ment o f IT, D i s tribu t e d Dat a b a se Sy s t e m c o m e s abo u t . DDB S
has been the hot-point in research.

d e m a n d t h a t t h e d a t a m u s t b e i n g e o g r a p h i c a l d i s p e r s i o n a n d m a n a g e m e n t
c o n c e n t r a t i o n, t h e c o m p a n y n e e d th e D D B S a s d a t a b s e s o l u t i o n s , w h i c h i s t h e
integration of network and database systems.
The paper strives to analyze the feasibility of Information System development using
Smart Client technology and Distributed Database Systems theory, the technology and
theory will be further applied to a representative of the enterprise information system
d e s i g n t h a t i s t h e d e v e l o p m e n t o f t h e V O L V O C o n s t r u c t i o n E q u i p m e n t R e n t
I n f o r m a t i o n S y s t e m b a s e d o n t h e S m a r t C l i e n t . T h e p a p e r i s c o n s t r u c t e d a s f o l l o w s :
Firstly, describe and analyzed the traditional IS client application solution in order to
s h o w t h e a d v a n t a g e o f S m a r t C l i e n t t e c h n o l o g y . S e c o n d l y , d e s c r i b e d t h e r e l a t e d
t h e o r i e s o f D D B S s u c h a s d e f i n i t i o n , c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s , c l a s s i f i c a t i o n , b e n e f i t s , d e s i g n
and t h e rea l i z a tion o f t he t e c hnica l p r oble m s , etc. T h e d a t a base o f I S w i l l be c a r r i ed

organizational structure of VOLVO Construction Equipment Rent Company, with the
summary that the VOLVO Construction Equipment Company was the company which
requiring local data cache and off-line processing capabilities and owning the
characteristic of DDBS application. Also did Requirements Analysis and designed the
IS based on the Requirements Analysis. That was: developed the Office Smart Client
in Microsoft Excel 2003 and its VBA; designed the database in Microsoft SQL Server
2005; programmed in C# to develop Web Services; programmed in C#, integrated with

摘要:

摘要基于智能客户端摘要信息技术的快速发展大大加速了企业的信息化进程,随着信息系统在企业中的应用日益普及,企业信息化已经成为全球趋势。信息技术的发展也促进了信息系统开发方式的变化。信息系统中客户端应用程序的软件架构发生了从C/S到B/S的转变然而B/S模式也有一些局限性。信息系统中的数据库设计也发生了巨大变化。以往的信息系统多以集中式数据库为设计方案。信息技术的高速发展使得分布式数据库应运而生,并成为计算机技术中最活跃的研究领域之一。VOLVO建筑设备公司,是具有地域上分散而管理上又相对集中的一类特点的企业,同时它要求客户端程序能够具备对本地资源充分利用、便于部署安装和支持离线操作等特点。传统的...
