Abstract
With the approach of the knowledge economy and fierce
market competition, companies increasingly recognize that human
resources is the first resouce of production. Performance
management, one of the core functions of human resource
management, can manage and improve every employee’s
performance and upgrade the company's overall performace through
breaking the company’s strategic goals down into each business unit
and employee. Therefore, building a sound performance
management system is of extremely important significance for a
company. C company, a world famous multinational company, has
its strengths in management philosophy and management methods,
also in performance management. However, there is still some
weaknesses of its performacne management. The paper, based on C
company's performance management, analyze and study on it to find
advantages and disadvantages. For advantages, refine significances.
For disadvantages, put forward improvement methods. Hope to
further improve C company’s performance management. Also hope
to enlighten other same type companies with this case study and help
them upgrade the human resources management level and promote
the development of companies. The papers contents are as
followed:
Part I, Introduce the background, purpose and significance of
the paper.
Part II, Simple study on literature related to preformance
management.
Part III, Introduce the actual status of the company and its
performance management. Analyze and research the performance
management system. Find advantages and refine significance. Find
disadvantages and discuss further.
Part IV, Put forward improvement methods for disadvantages of
performance management.
