Manufacturing enterprises’ procurement under the
uncertainty of the supply chain
ABSTRCT
A s a n i m p o r t a n t l i n k a n d t h e s e c o n d p r o f i t s o u r c e o f t h e
m a n u f a c t u r i n g e n t e r p r i s e s , t h e s t r a t e g i c i m p o r t a n c e o f p r o c u r e m e n t h a s
g a i n e d m o r e a n d m o r e a t t e n t i o n i n t h e m a n u f a c t u r i n g e n t e r p r i s e s h o m e
and abroad. In the new century, the procurement environment of
manufacturing enterprises has undergone major changes with the rapid
d e v e l o p m e n t o f i n f o r m a t i o n t e c h n o l o g y , t h e a c c e l e r a t i o n o f e c o n o m i c
globalization, various kinds of advanced manufacturing technology and
t h e c o n s t a n t a p p l i c a t i o n o f t h e m a n a g e m e n t m o d e l . A s a r e s u l t ,
enterprises should look at their own procurement management from the
p e r s p e c t i v e o f t h e s u p p l y c h a i n . H o w e v e r , i n t h e p r a c t i c e o f t h e s u p p l y
c h a i n m a n a g e m e n t , t h e u n a v o i d a b l e u n c e r t a i n t y a r i s i n g f r o m d e m a n d ,
supply, and production makes the manufacturing enterprises’ management
and decision become all the more difficult. Therefore, the study on the
m a n u f a c t u r i n g e n t e r p r i s e s ’ p r o c u r e m e n t u n d e r t h e u n c e r t a i n t y o f t h e
s u p p l y c h a i n w i l l b e n o t o n l y o f t h e o r e t i c a l s i g n i f i c a n c e , b u t a l s o o f
practically value.
T h i s t h e s i s a n a l y z e s t h e c o n c e p t s a n d c a u s e s o f t h e s u p p l y c h a i n
u n c e r t a i n t y , d i s c u s s e s t h e p o s s i b l e i m p a c t s i t l e d t o t h e m a n u f a c t u r i n g
e n t e r p r i s e s f r o m t h r e e a s p e c t s : t h e e x i s t i n g p r o c u r e m e n t m o d e l , t h e
s u p p l i e r s ’ s e l e c t i o n a n d t h e s u p p l i e r s ’ m a n a g e m e n t . T h i s t h e s i s a l s o
builds a new procurement model based on the theory of constraints. In the
s e l e c t i o n o f s u p p l i e r s , t h e t h e s i s m a k e s a f u r t h e r i m p r o v e m e n t o n t h e
commonly used methods which combining the fuzzy method with the
Analytic Hierarchy Process by introducing fuzzy ranking chain, and gray
correlation method, builds a new model of supplier selection in order to
m a k e t h e c h o i c e o f s u p p l i e r s m o r e c o n c i s e a n d e f f i c i e n t u n d e r t h e
u n c e r t a i n t y e n v i r o n m e n t . F i n a l l y , t h i s t h e s i s p r o p o s e s t h e n e w
m a n a g e m e n t m e t h o d s i n o r d e r t o r e d u c e t h e i m p a c t a n d t h e r i s k o f t h e
s u p p l y c h a i n p a r t n e r s h i p s u n d e r t h e u n c e r t a i n t y e n v i r o n m e n t . O n t h e s e
