ABSTRACT
As the general abstract and description way of complex system, complex networks
research made in-depth development in recent years. Domestic and foreign scholars
have done a lot of empirical researches on complex systems from the network structure,
dynamics on the network, network evolving, et al, and have made a series of theoretical
research results. Using complex networks theory to study complex system can deepen
people’s further understanding of the system structure. The rapidly developing of
automotive components industry made it to be a complex system.
The former scholars used the market research analysis, porter “diamond system”
theory to study the competition relation in industry or enterprises in the perspective of
economics, industrial organization theory, game theory, or dynamic competition. These
studies were only from a particular part point of view to study the automotive
components industry, and didn’t make good explanation to the state of competitor’s
distribution and information’s transmission between enterprises. In this point of view,
this paper analysis and study the automotive components enterprise competition
network in China based on complex networks theory in whole.
In this paper we constructed a bipartite graph about automotive components and
enterprises, also constructed an automotive components enterprise competition network,
and then discussed the network statistic characteristics of the bipartite graph and the
competition network. Basing on the empirical study of the enterprise competition
network, we built a two-phase evolving model with activity nodes, and an evolving
model which consider the development law of enterprise, respectively. We made a series
of numerical simulations on these models, and contrasted the characteristics calculated
from evolving network with real network. Finally, we analyzed the new technology
diffusion process in automotive components enterprise competition network in China
and provided some valuable suggestions on improving the competitiveness of
enterprises. Besides, further studies on automotive components enterprise competition
network are discussed.
