Abstract
At present, it is very serious that the irrigation water waste in agriculture. So we
should improve the efficiency of irrigation and curtail the course of modern precise
agriculture taking place of traditional extensive agriculture. Furthermore the resoure of
water is saved. Aiming at the disadvantage of the traditional efficient irrigation system,
this paper puts forward a new kind of intelligent efficient irrigation system. This
system regards the geometrical size of plant organs as the feedback control variable,
and leaf is selected to be measured in this paper. Because the plant is the controlled
device, the new intelligent efficient irrigation system realizes the genuine closed-loop
control system. Thereby the control precision and the efficience of saving water are
improved. In order to establish the new intelligent efficient irrigation system, this paper
incubrates how to exactly measure the geometrical size of plant organs, moreover it
finds the growth regularity of plant according to the change of leaf thickness.
The paper expounds on the following aspects:
Firstly, because plant leaf is specially biological material and the change of the
leaf thickness is in micron rank, this paper puts forward to exactly flexible measuring
the thickness of plant leaf. Presently the measurement technology of high precision is
very sophisticated in industry. So we can apply it to measure the thickness of plant leaf
based on the study of the elastic ratio (Young’s modulus) of the plant leaf.
Secondly, the instrument is produced to measure the thickness of plant leaf. And
the performance of the instrument is analysed. We design and produce two kinds of
instruments. One is strain guage amesdial, the other is inductance amesdial and it can
use four sensers to measure the thickness of plant leaf at the same time. According to
the requirements of the subject, we design and produce the tiny inductance amesdial to
measure the plant leaf when it can reach the measurement precision.
Thirdly, we have done measurement experiment for a long time, and the
experiment is to use the inductance amesdial that we produced to measure the
thickness of plant leaf. Then we get a lot of valuable data. After the data is anslysed
and worked, we get the model of plant growth regularity which is reflected by the
thickness of plant leaf. And we compare it with the other way.
The paper get very significative conclusion through studying the key technology
of the new intelligent efficient irrigation. At the end of the paper, the results of the
research are summarized for futher improvement.
