ABSTRACT
Shaft of transmission is the main component of transmission, by which the power
is transfer from engine to driving axle, and it affects the working reliability and life of
transmission directly. Because the shaft working under the engine torque and the
circumference of tangential, radial force and helical gears of axial force caused by gear
engagement, so, in transmission design, the requirements of shaft rigidity was higher,
if the shaft rigidity is insufficient, can cause bending deformation of the shaft and
normal gear engagement, reduce the intensity, abrasion resistance and life, and also
cause excessive noise.
Based on the research and summarize of the checking method of transmission
shaft was studied, the specific processes of shaft checking was determined. Analyzed
the force on the input and output shaft. Especially the support force calculation method
of input shaft which is the three support super quiescent shaft was studied. By study of
the application of the equivalent method and the energy method in transmission shaft
checking work, the two methods of calculating precision and applicable range was got.
In order to solve the problems on the fussy calculation of shaft checking work, this
paper develop a shaft checking web program, which is using asp.net technology
combined with C# and in the environment of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 .NET. Also,
according to the actual needs of designer, completed the program function module
partition, design, man-machine communication interface and humanized design. And a
efficient and convenient tool was provide for the transmission shaft checking and
design.
With the progress of transmission design method, the finite element method in
transmission design has been widely used. In this paper, the static and dynamic
performance of transmission shaft was analyzed by ANSYS, and can got the stress
contours, the modal shape and the harmonic response curve. Through these results, the
designer can find the weak point of the transmission shaft, and provide effective help
for the optimized design。
