ABSTRACT
X-ray has been widely used in the medical and industrial fields. The X-ray
generator is a core component in X-ray machine. Traditional X-ray machine, due to
the use of low-frequency(50/60 Hz) power voltage to generate the high voltage
through the transformer, has a large volume,low efficiency, poor stability and
reproducibility of voltage output. Based on the soft-switching high-frequency
inverter and SCM technology, the research on high-frequency generator and its
control system for medical portable X-ray machine is discussed in this paper. Its
output is 6kW(100 kV,60 mA,0.1 s). X-ray generator units are highly integrated
with control device. Because of the characteristic of small, light-weight and high
power, it possess superior flexibility and adaptability in markets where large scale
X-ray machine are not applicable, such as military, police, earthquake relief,
community medical center, rural area medical center, VIP on-site diagnostic check,
medical check-up vehicles, radiology research and education institutions, sports
clubs.
Chapter one, the background and tasks of this paper is introduced. In chapter two,
the soft-switching inverter technology is analysed and the principle of series resonant
inverter circuit is discussed in details. In chapter three, the design prosess of main
circuit of the high-frequency inverter power is discussed, and the theoretics analysis
and calculations of the full-bridge rectifier filter, series load resonant inverter, high-
frequency high voltage transformer, voltage rectifier filter circuit are introduced in
details. The parameters of electronic components are given and the main circuit is
simulated by MATLAB. The fourth section describes the generation of the inverter
driving signals. The analysis of circuit, production of PCB and the simulation of the
inverter drive circuit are introduced. In chapter five, the application of SCM
technology for the generator control system is introduced, and the flow charts of the
control system have been given.
Finally,the operational characteristics of this X-ray generator have been proved
by experiments to be fully agreed with the design targets.
The main contribution of the paper: (1) The volume of high voltage power has
been greatly reduced by high frequency inverter technology. (2) Reducing IGBT
losses in series resonant converters by the soft-switching technology. (3) Base on the
