ABSTRACT
Mobile commerce developed on the basis of traditional e-commerce, and it has
more advantages than e-commerce. By using wireless technologies, we can transmit and
receive information at any time and anywhere, so m-commerce attaches importance to
people diffusely. As a new business model, the introduction of mobile wireless
technologies has brought some impact to traditional business process management. How
to integrate mobile commerce with traditional business process well to optimize process
is a very significat subject.
On the basis of mobile commerce theory and business process management
theory, this paper analyzed the characteristics of business process under the environment
of m-commerce and process modeling methods, at last the paper give the modeling
instance. The main researches in this paper are as follows:
It introduced the theory of business process management, focusing on several
classical business process modeling methods, proposing ARIS method is superior to any
other methods and it is more suitable for business process management.
Based on the background and research status of m-commerce, it analyzed the
characteristics of m-commerce. By comparing with e-commerce, it proposed that
m-commerce's impact on business process is different from e-commerce.
Based on the characteristics of mobile commerce, the paper analyzes the new
characteristics of business process under the environment of m-commerce, furthermore,
it exams m-commerce's impact on business process from time, cost and flexibility.
Analyzing and reviewing several mobile business processes modeling methods, it
pointed out their advantages and disadvantages, and chose ARIS methods as the
research methods.
At last this paper gave a case study, using ARIS method to model a company's
business process. The method focused on the modeling of key processes, identified
opportunities for the introduction of wireless technology, and optimized the process.
